The Annapurna Base Camp trekking is one of the famous trails of Annapurna Region across the breathtaking landscape of the Himalayas. The trekking starts after one and half hour drive from Nayapul to Ghandruk village offers magnificent view of Mt Annapurna and Fishtail Peak.  Further trekking through Machhapuchare Base Camp, we reach to final destination to Annapurna Base Camp enclosed by a solid wall of snowcapped peaks and we return the same way back. On the way we encountered with high mountains, passed through the dark forest &awe-inspiring glaciers, walks on the banks of pristine rivers, Rest and overnight in simple mountain teahouses and welcome by warm hearted local’s people. Annapurna Base Camp Trek combines natural scenery of snowcapped mountains as well as experiences of culture and lifestyle in the mountain of Nepal.

Itinerary details

Day01:- Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon arrival at Kathmandu International airport meet our office representative and transfer to hotel in Kathmandu then check in hotel and rest.  In the evening we will organize a Welcome Dinner at Nepalese Restaurant where you will enjoy a typical Nepalese food.

Day 02:- Kathmandu valley sightseeing.

After having breakfast, your day will start with our driver to Kathmandu valley which includes world heritage sites 1) Swyambhunath or the Monkey Temple, 2) Pashupatinath temple (the famous Hindu Temple), 3) Patan Durbar Square and finally the Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Day 03:-Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara

After morning breakfast in the hotel, the tour starts with the scenic view of beautiful hills, countryside lifestyle driving along the Trisuli River then overnight at lodge in Pokhara lakeside.

Day 04: Drive from Pokhara to Phedi and start trek to Deurali.

From Pokhara it takes about 45 minutes driving to Dhampus Phedi then hike up to Deurali village  via Dhampus Danda it takes about ¾ hours and the evening you will overnight at a lodge in Deurali with magnificent views of Annapurna range and Lamjung Himal.

Day 05: Trek from Deurali to Chhomrong.

The trek starts from Deurali with gradual climbing the hill, most of the way to through untouched forest of oaks and rhododendron with occasional view of the Annapurna range. Chomrong is the junction of all the trails leading to the Annapurna Sanctuary. The village offers you a unique close-up view of Mount Annapurna South (7219m) and Hiunchuli (6441m). Overnight at lodge.

Day 06: Trek from Chhomrong to Dovan

From Chhomrong village the trek goes ahead to the terraced farm fields as you descent to the river. After crossing Chhomrong Khola, you will climb to Sinuwa for launch.  The trail passes through thick forest with a variety of lush plants, reach Dovan for overnight.

Day 07: Trek from Dovan to Machhapuchre Base Camp (MBC).

After morning breakfast, the trail leads along the left bank of the Modi Khola, passing dangerous avalanche areas such as Hinko Cave. We walk thought forests, across waterfalls and rivers and see the most magnificent scenery in the Annapurna region then overnight at lodge in MBC.

Day 08: Trek from MBC to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), then back to Himalaya.

Today’s trail leads you in the heart of the Sanctuary at the Annapurna base camp. Wake up early to watch the beautiful sunrise in the amphitheater of the Annapurna Sanctuary.  Trekkers get the most magnificent mountain panorama of Mount Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Fang, Annapurna I, Khangshar Kang, Glacier Dome, Tent Peak, Gangapurna, and Machhapuchare. After the highly thrilling trek back to Himalaya hotel for overnight.

Day 09: Trek from Himalaya to Chhomrong.

Today is an easy walk of 2 - 3 hours in the morning to the lunch spot at Kuldi Ghar or Sinuwa. After lunch we descend to the Chhomrong Khola and then climb up through lower Chhomrong to our lodge in Chhomrong Village.

Day 10: Trek from Chhomrong village to Ghandruk Village.

From Chomrong village, the trail leads to the beautiful village of Annapurna region. Ghandruk village is the model village from where we can view the panorama of Annapurna range. In the evening you will stay at a lodge with incredible views of the Annapurna range and the Lamjung Himal.

Day 11: Trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul, then drive to Pokhara.

From Ghandruk, an easy downhill walk through the villages with the ever present view of the central western and eastern Himalayas, a short steep descent brings you to the Nayapul. From Nayapool an hour drive brings you back to Pokhara.

Day 12: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu

After half day sightseeing in Pokhara including Fewa Lake, Barahi, Davis Falls, Gupteshwori we drive 6 hours from Pokhara. Enjoy the scenic countryside and the drive along the Trisuli River.

Day 13: Final departure to home or join other adventure activities.

Team Membership

For the Annapurna Base Camp Trekking we will take minimum 2 trekkers and maximum of 20 trekkers.
Fitness and what to expect

We are travelling in high and remote terrain at moderately high altitudes. Members will best have a moderate level of fitness to enjoy the experience to its fullest. The trails are sometimes steep and a couple of the trek days quite long (about 6 hours). Weather can deteriorate and rain, strong winds and even some snow are possible. However we are travelling at a mild time of the year to best appreciate the surroundings.
Hotel

There are every category of accommodation facilities that range from the international standard star hotels to budget hotels and lodges; therefore the hotel reservation is not a difficult task. You can make reservation as per you budget. 'Himalayan Idol ' is ready to make any arrangement for you as per your wish, desire and budget.
Food

Food will be of the highest standard possible, given the remoteness of the situation. Please inform us if you have any special dietary requirements.

In the Annapurna Base Camp Trekking we will be dining in the Lodge.
